7.1. System of production of exhaust gases

7.1.1. Service of final system

GENERAL INFORMATION

The final system consists of a final collector or collectors, the catalytic converter, the exhaust silencer and an exhaust pipe. Elements of final system are attached to a body by means of arms and pendant clips.

Exhaust pipe

The exhaust pipe is connected to the catalytic converter two bolts (are specified by shooters).

Exhaust pipe (6-cylinder engines)

In 6-cylinder engines the forward section of an exhaust pipe fastens to a body an arm with two bolts (are specified by shooters).

Exhaust silencer shock-absorber

Examine the exhaust silencer shock-absorber on existence of cracks and strong wear.

Carry out regular check of elements of an exhaust system. Worn-out elements of final system are not subject to repair, it is necessary to replace them new.

For removal of elements of final system use propitochny oil.
