GENERAL INFORMATION

Release the parking brake.

Behind

Manual transmission – we recommend to use the towing cart under forward wheels. If do not use the towing cart, establish the ignition key in the situation "ACC", and transmission in neutral situation.

Automatic transmission – use the towing cart under forward wheels.

If towage is required, we recommend, that it was carried out by the dealer of Toyota or technical service of towing trucks. Consult with them what of methods – (and) or (b) – is better for using for car towage. Only in case cannot receive such technical assistance, carefully carry out car towage independently according to instructions.

The car can be damaged at the wrong towage. In spite of the fact that the majority of operators know procedure of the correct towage, there are mistake possibilities. In order to avoid damage of the car be convinced that were the following is observed.

Prevention

Use system of chains of safety in all cases of towage and observe state/regional and local laws. Wheels and an axis on soil should be in a good condition. If they are damaged, use the towing cart.

Towage in an emergency situation

If towage is required, we recommend, that it was carried out by the dealer of Toyota or technical service of towing trucks. If towing service is not available, the car can be towed off by means of a cable or a chain, attached to one of ears for towage in an emergency situation which are located under the car. Be extremely attentive during car towage.

The driver should be in the car for a steering to them and uses of brakes. Towage in such a way can be executed only on roads with a firm covering on short distance and at low speed. Wheels, bridges, the driving lever mechanism, a steering and brakes should be in a good condition.
