1.3.2. Wheels and tires

1.3.2.1. Pressure check in the tire

GENERAL INFORMATION

Support pressure of tires at appropriate level. It is necessary to check it each two weeks or at least once a month. Also do not forget about the spare tire!

The wrong pressure in the tire can reduce term of its service and make the car less safe for driving.

Low pressure in tires results in excessive wear, bad management, reduction of economy of fuel and gap possibility from an overheat of tires. Also low pressure can become the reason of bad consolidation of a board of the tire. If pressure excessively low, exists possibility of damage of wheels and/or tire offices.

The high pressure in tires leads to rigid driving, problems in management, to excessive wear in the center of a protector of the tire from hollows on the road.

If the tire demands frequent pumping, check it at the dealer of Toyota.

Instructions for pressure check in the tire

Pressure should be checked only in cold tires.

If the car was stopped at least at 3 o'clock and did not go after that more than on 1,5 km, it is possible to receive exact value of pressure in the cold tire.

Always use a tire manometer.

Appearance of the tire can be deceptive. Besides, pressure in the tire even if it is not much weaker than everything, can worsen management and driving.

Do not lower and do not reduce pressure in the tire after driving.

For the tire pressure increase after driving is a normal state.

Surely establish caps of inflatable gates of tires.

Without caps of inflatable gates dirt or moisture can get to a core of the gate and cause leakage of air. If caps are lost, new caps should be established as soon as possible.
