The switch of blocking does not allow to get the engine if any transfer, except parking and neutral is included.

Switch check (4-cylinder models)

Position of the lever of the switch of transfers Numbers of contacts, the chain between contacts is closed P 4–7 5–6 R 4–8 – N 4–10 5–6 D 4–9 – 2 2–4 – L 2–3 –

Switch check (6-cylinder models)

Position of the lever of the switch of transfers Numbers of contacts, the chain between contacts is closed P 2–7 5–6 R 2–8 – N 2–9 5–6 D 2–10 – 2 2–3 – L 2–4 –

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift and fix a forward part of the car. 2. Disconnect a wire from the switch. 3. Check by means of an ohmmeter as the switch in all provisions (see fig. works. Check of the switch of 4-cylinder models and fig. Check of the switch of 6-cylinder models). 4. If necessary replace the switch.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift and fix a forward part of the car. 2. Disconnect a wire from the switch. 3. Braid a nut of the switching lever on a transmission (the left arrow), remove the lever and unscrew switch bolts. 4. Remove the switch. 5. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Weaken bolts of the switch and turn it so that to combine a cut and the adjusting line (see fig. Adjustment of the switch of 4-cylinder models and fig. Adjustment of the switch of 6-cylinder models). Tighten switch bolts.
