9.1.5. Rack and suspension bracket spring

GENERAL INFORMATION

Details of a rack of a forward suspension bracket (device of a rack of a back suspension bracket similarly)

If obvious signs of wear or rack or spring damage (podtekany liquids, a corf of springs, external damages, etc.) are found, it is necessary to solve a question of expediency of dismantling. The rack with the shock-absorber is not subject to repair and changes assembled.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a rack. Clamp the lower part of a rack in a vice through wooden laying.
2. Compress a spring by means of the adaptation so that to remove pressure upon the top basic cup of a spring (is checked by rocking of the top plate).

Prevention

At removal of a spring use the special adaptation for spring compression. The removed compressed spring store in a safe place.


3. Unscrew a nut of a rod of the shock-absorber.
4. Unscrew a nut and remove a cup of the top support of a rack. Check a condition of the bearing of a cup. If the bearing jams at rotation, a cup replace. Check integrity of rubber laying of a cup, existence on it of cracks and wear signs. If rubber destruction is found, replace laying.
5. Remove the top saddle of a spring. Check existence on a saddle of cracks and hardenings. If necessary replace. Remove the top insulating casing of a spring.
6. Carefully remove the compressed spring.
7. Remove the rubber buffer.
8. Check a condition of the bottom insulating laying, if necessary replace.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If changes bottom, establish it into place so that the ledge on laying was turned down and came into deepening on the bottom cup of a rack.
2. Establish a spring so that the termination of the last round came into deepening on bottom insulating to laying.
3. Establish the top insulating casing and a spring saddle, having combined thus лыски on a shock-absorber rod with sides of an opening of a saddle.
4. Combine a label of OUT of the top saddle of a spring with a label on the top insulating casing.
5. At assembly of a rack of a forward suspension bracket be convinced that the arrow on a saddle is turned outside (1 – outside).
6. At assembly of a rack of a back suspension bracket сориентируйте the top basic cup according to a photo.
7. Establish on a rack a sealant and the top cup.
8. Wrap a nut of fastening of the top cup and tighten with the set moment. To Simita the adaptation compressing a spring.
9. Establish a rack on the car.
