10.11. Air removal from a hydraulic actuator of brakes

GENERAL INFORMATION

Need of pumping of a hydraulic actuator on all wheels arises after a detachment of tubes on the main cylinder of a brake or at strong fall of level of liquid in a tank.

When dismantling a hydraulic actuator of one wheel it is possible to be limited to air removal only from the understanding cylinder.

If the highway from the main cylinder to wheel understood, it is possible to be limited to air removal only from this highway.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On the stopped engine press several times a brake pedal that in the vacuum amplifier of brakes atmospheric pressure was restored.
2. Before pumping restore liquid level in a tank and during pumping support level, without allowing a tank devastation. Fill in only fresh liquid.
3. Pumping of brakes should be carried out together. Prepare liquid, a vessel, a hose for pumping and a key for an union otvorachivaniye.
4. Pumping begin with a back right wheel. Unscrew the union for pumping and slightly tighten, that it could be turned on again without effort.
5. Attach to the union a hose, other end of a hose lower in a vessel with brake liquid.
6. Ask the assistant to press slowly a pedal of a brake and to hold.
7. Unscrew the union and later 2 seconds after the stream of liquid following with bubbles will weaken, tighten the union. Ask the assistant to release a pedal.
8. Repeat procedure until then while in following liquid air vials will not cease to be observed. Tighten the union. Execute these actions in sequence: left back wheel, the right forward, left forward. Watch liquid level in a tank.
9. Upon termination of pumping restore liquid level in a tank.
10. After pumping of brakes the pedal should be "rigid". If necessary repeat pumping procedure.
