GENERAL INFORMATION

The parking brake should provide to hold the car on a bias at 5–8 clicks of a course. Adjustment is necessary, if a brake course less than 5 clicks (back wheels can hardly be turned) or more than 8 (the car unreliably затормаживается on biases).

LEVER DRIVE

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To provide access to a regulator, remove the central facing section.
2. Release a lock-nut (the top nut), holding an adjusting (bottom) nut. Tighten an adjusting nut before receiving the necessary course of the lever of a brake. Tighten a lock-nut.
3. Check a course of the lever of the parking brake and establish into place removed section.

PEDAL DRIVE

Having slowly pressed a pedal, define number of clicks to a full zatormazhivaniye which should be equal 3–6. Adjustment is necessary, if a brake course less than 3 clicks (back wheels can hardly be turned) or more than 6 (the car unreliably затормаживается on biases).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To provide access to a regulator, remove facing (see subsection 11.23.).
2. Release a lock-nut (the top nut), holding an adjusting (bottom) nut. Tighten an adjusting nut before receiving the necessary course of the lever of a brake. Tighten a lock-nut.
