Cистема of a charge consists of the generator of the alternating current which has been built in the generator of a regulator of tension, a control chain of a charge, the battery, a fusible crossing point and connecting wires. At collaboration of these devices a food of such consumers as ignition system, lighting and alarm system devices, a radio receiver is provided, etc. The drive of the generator is carried out from a belt in a forward part of the engine.

The regulator of tension is intended for maintenance of tension of the generator at the set level. At sharp increase of tension on a generator exit the regulator prevents current and overload throws in a power-supply circuit.

Periodic care of charge system as a rule it is not required. However, it is necessary to examine periodically a belt of a drive of the generator, the battery and connecting wires.

The control lamp of a charge on the dashboard lights up at inclusion of ignition and after start-up of the engine dies away. If the lamp does not die away after engine start-up, in a chain of a charge is faulty. Some cars are equipped with the voltmeter. If the voltmeter shows very high or very low voltage, the chain of a charge needs check.


At connection of the battery with the generator always observe polarity of connection.

Before repair of any site of the car by electric welding disconnect wires from the generator and the battery.

It is forbidden to start the engine at the connected charger.

The generator is attached directly to the battery therefore at a zakorachivaniye of conclusions of the generator, or at its overload, formation of an arch and a fire is possible.


At malfunction of a chain of a charge of the battery before drawing a conclusion on failure of the generator execute the following checks.

1. Check a battery condition, a condition and reliability of fastening of wires and sockets.
2. Check a condition and a tension of a belt of the generator. At detection of signs of wear a belt replace.
3. Check an inhaling of bolts of the generator.
4. Start the engine and check a sound published by the generator.
5. Check fusible crossing points, at detection of the fused crossing points of inserts find out the reason and eliminate.
6. Check tension on the battery on the idle engine which about 12,5 Century should be.
7. Connect the ampermeter and the voltmeter, start the engine and check tension which should be from 13,5 to 15 In at a current no more than 10 And.
8. Include a driving beam of headlights, the conditioner and a heater. At normal work of system of a charge tension should be not less than 13,5 In at a current about 30 And.
9. If tension is higher 15 In, replace a tension regulator.

10. If tension is lower normal, connect to weight a conclusion of F and start the engine.
11. If tension normal, replace a tension regulator. If tension still low, the generator is faulty.
