On 4-cylinder engines the sensor is mounted under a cover of a gear belt, on V6 engines – over a crankshaft pulley.

4-CYLINDER ENGINES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the socket of conducting of the sensor about the generator and check resistance of the sensor (the arrow specified a sensor arrangement).
2. Together with the sensor it is necessary to check and the computer module for what it is necessary to remove and hand over the module in car-care center.

6-CYLINDER ENGINES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Because of the complicated access to the socket the sensor is recommended to be removed (an arrow specified a sensor arrangement). Check resistance on the removed sensor.
2. Having warmed up the engine, or having removed the sensor and having placed in boiled water, check resistance of the sensor at 80 ° With which should be 250–300 Ohm.

Replacement


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. On 4-cylinder engines uncover a belt (see fig. A place of installation of the sensor of rotation of the crankshaft on 4-cylinder engines).
3. On 6-cylinder engines for access to the sensor remove the protective panel of a wheel niche (see fig. A place of installation of the sensor of rotation of the crankshaft on 6-cylinder engines). Disconnect the socket, unscrew a bolt and remove the sensor.
