7.2.11. Sensor of rotation of a cam-shaft
GENERAL INFORMATION

On 4-cylinder engines the sensor is mounted in a back part of a head of the block of cylinders, on V6 engines – in a forward part of a head of the block.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the socket of conducting and check resistance of the sensor (in drawing at the left – the 4-cylinder engine, on the right – 6-cylinder). Resistance should correspond specified in specifications (see subsection 7.2.2.). On 4-cylinder engines the sensor for check should be removed.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Switch off ignition.
2. Disconnect the socket, unscrew bolts and remove the sensor.
